Original Creation

Something, something part deux

Midnite Painter 25 Aug 2021

24x36, first version I did was to get a feel for this style, this is the result. The person who requested this piece liked the other, they weren’t particular on many aspects; just wanted a lively painting. I went way out there, hopefully not too far, I figure if the forest looks like a trip, why is there plain mud? Countless hours and layers by knife.

Wow! Looks great! How tough was it to not overwork the canopy with the knife?

Thank you! That was my main worry, I felt last one was overdone I made magenta and blue my colors to break up boring spots, more marbling was put in this.
